Management Training by Coaching and Mentoring
The common way of training junior and middle
mangers is attending courses that are provided by professional training
institutions. We do not believe in the effectiveness of this type
of training due to the following:
- Training courses may be tailored to the receiving
organisations, but not to the receiving personnel
- On average, more than 30% of taught subjects
are forgotten within one week and 50% within one month.
- A great deal of the contents of the course are
irrelevant to the organisation and the operation.
- While a group of managers are out on training,
the operation could suffer.
The V.R.Dis
Management Training programme works in a totally different way,
assigning an experienced management consultant to coach the managers
in every aspect of their day-to-day duties within the organisation.
This way, the most relevant corners of the management art are discovered
and practised by the manager under the consultant's guidance.
Although there is only need for few hours of consultancy
per week, which decreases with time, the results are remarkable.
At the end of the training period, the manager will be equipped
with the following skills and more:
- General management
- Problem-solving
- Team management
- Team-building and competency development
- Delegation
- Appraisal
- Disciplinary action
- Reporting
- Resource calculation/resource release
- Customer management
- Supplier management
- Quality control
- Health and Safety
